My tests came back for the Lupus Anticoagulant Syndrome (also called Hughes Syndrome) and it was positive. I am to start a low-dose aspirin therapy once a day and if I get pregnant again, I'm to go on something more, possibly Heparin or Loveknox injections (yuck). It feels good to know that I have definite results...and it totally lines up with all my post-partum hemorrhaging, pre-eclampsia, recurrent miscarriages, placental abruption and intra-uterine fetal growth retardation. It might also point to the reasons behind my high blood pressure (though that could be my family history, too). It's also good to know, as my daughters could also have this and could be tested before they get pregnant. Hopefully, then, they could be spared pregnancy losses and complications!! That would be wonderful! Just wanted to update y'all!

Lisa,
I joined your new blog. I am so glad you found this out. I pray that you will get pregnant again and carry a baby to term.
Love,
Jamie Marino
Lisa, I just found your blog today as I was looking for topics on large family scheduling as I am looking to change a few things here at home to accommodate our ever growing families needs. While at your site I decided to look through all your topics and found this post on miscarriage and clotting. It's funny that just last night I was googling information on this very subject as I have just lost my 11 child last Tuesday, the second to be lost in a 4 month time period.
For the first time ever in my life my new ob was suggesting this very thing as my possible problem. While I have lupus no one has ever thought to check into my losses as we have 9 children whom I have bore into the world successfully. After these two very painful losses so quickly together it is nice to finally have an answer that may help us to carry all our babies to term.
I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. I know the pain of loss but also the joy of knowing my little ones are waiting for me in heaven. Thank you for your beautiful blog and my prayers are with you and your family.
Michelle
