Q. God knows our hearts and if He wants us to have a child, then won’t He make a way for it whether we are taking precautions or not?
A. Sometimes, yes. More often, no. Here is a better way to understand how God works in, through and around the free will He's given us.
"Yes, God can work around and through birth control, should He so desire. And birth control can and does fail on occasion. But as a rule, God follows the principles he set in place to govern our natural world; stories of miraculous conceptions despite a couple's efforts to prevent more children are an exception, not the norm. I believe God is not inclined to make the pill or patch fail in order to impose His will for our families on us. When we erect barriers to God's blessings, He often lets us. We limit God by decisions of our free will." - Candice Watters
We can choose to erect barriers. God can choose to override them, but most of the time He doesn't.
Bottom line:
*** Isn't birth control designed for HUMANS to take control over when God creates a baby? If so, then by using birth control we must be concerned that God might create a life if we don't take that control into our own hands?
*** If God "knows our hearts", wants us to have a child and chooses to override our birth control, why should we use birth control? After all, if God's ultimately in control, they why not hand Him the reigns in the first place?
*** Does God need our assistance in preventing/creating babies? God desires our willingness, but He never requires our assistance.
*** If God is truly in control, why are we attempting to control what He is already controlling by using some sort of preventive measure?
1 Corinthians 3:18-19 "Do not deceive yourselves. If any one of you thinks he is wise by the standards of this age, he should become a "fool" so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight."

Excellent post, Lisa!
I love your posts Lisa. I am so glad to have met you on FB. I wish God had convicted my husband in this area. But He has allowed me to encourage others, especially uplifting the families who are persecuted by others for allowing God to plan their family size.
In Christ, JulieBeth
I do love that you are going after the "hard" questions, Lisa! Keep it up...you're making me do some thinking!
"Does God need our assistance in creating babies?" Unless every baby were to be a virgin birth, then, yes, He actually does. He created the process and uses that for the multiplication of humanity.
I agree about the "over-riding" of the birth control. When it fails, that is due to a failure on the part of the tool being used, not on God "imposing" Himself on us. God gave us free will....He knows the best path to take, but He will let us take other paths even when they do us harm.
