Comment: Helping to save the unborn from abortion is just not my thing. I guess I just have other views and concerns.
Response: It's too bad so many in Germany and Eastern Europe had that same lack of concern when Hitler's army came through and wiped out their neighborhoods of the Jews. Their complacency and out-of-whack priorities are the reasons that the liberators, who witnessed Auschwitz first-hand, forced the citizens of that community to tour the concentration camp. Those citizens could have done something, but chose not to for one reason or another.
Here in America we have every freedom and many options available to speak out against this holocaust toward unborn. I am grateful to call myself one of those "warriors" for life. I am grateful that I took these verses as something that was meant by God to be obeyed.
"Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. If you say, "But we knew nothing about this," does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?" Proverbs 24:11, 12
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." Proverbs 31:8, 9
"Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." Psalm 82:3-4
If God does justice for His people, He expects His people to do justice for one another. "Be merciful as your heavenly Father is merciful." Luke 6:36 and "Go and do likewise." Luke 10:37
"Do unto others as you would have them do to you." Matthew 7:12
"Trample my courts no more! Bring no more worthless offerings…Your festivals I detest…When you spread out your hands, I close my eyes to you; though you pray the more, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood! Wash yourselves clean…learn to do good. Make justice your aim: redress the wronged, hear the orphan’s plea, defend the widow." Isaiah 1:13-17
