Community Outreach - Standing Behind Military Kids & Writing To Sick Christians

One of two community service projects for today in our homeschool! Get involved HERE!

Here is Judah working on our 2nd community service project for this week....writing a note to our Samaritan Ministries "assigned person" to send money to this month. He is recovering from a stroke. Judah took great pride in his art work!

Annalise, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Trey, Jake and Julia just found out today that they all earned the GOLD Presidential Service Award!! There will be a ceremony in April or May, complete with a press release and a photographer! By the way, these awards will look AWESOME on their high school transcripts!! Below is a little explanation of the project.

The President's Volunteer Service Award was created to recognize the tens of millions of Americans who have made a sustained commitment to volunteer service. The Award is given to individuals, families and groups that have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and civic participation over the course of a 12-month period.

What Do Recipients Receive?

An official President’s Volunteer Service Award lapel pin

That's great! Our pastor has been emphasizing being grateful...and showing someone you ARE thankful. That can be by way of letter, baking a loaf of bread, posting something to FB or twitter or anything that shows them the love and thanks you have for them.

Your kiddos are precious!

Wow! That's pretty impressive! So they're receiving this award because of the work they've done at the abortion clinic this past year? (Or well, I mean ministering to the women outside of it).
