Thanks for sharing this! I was just teaching my kids the 10 commandments last week, and had to keep looking at my Bible to remember them in order. I watched that video, and now I can remember them!

thank you for this! I have been trying to come up with some sort of song that has a familiar tune to teach my girls, five and under, the Cammandments. I will be implimenting these ideas as well!

I love this! I have just ended a study on the ten commandments and this is a great way to finish the study. My son learns mostly using tactile and auditory skills, so this is perfect for him and helps me to help him retain the information that he learns... (and me) Thanks for sharing.

Yes, and we are supposed to know all 10 and recite them at least twice a day (via Deuteronomy 6:4-9) and have them posted on our doors. I have been wanting to do a post on my blog about this and share some fotos of the way Abba's people fulfilled this commanded and also what I created to post on our door. These are so important to know for all the other commands all come down to these ten.

Our Family Is His said...

I remember, years ago, when our pastor decided that his church wouldn't be counted in the majority of Christians who couldn't tell you what the 10 commandments were. He set up a very simple program similar to this and had us work through it if we wanted. It took me less than a week and, to this day, I can still tell you them in order, backwards, and in any given order you request ("tell me #4, #7, etc). We will be teaching this method to the kids as well. We are finishing up our memorization of the Lord's prayer right now. I think the 10 commandments will be next. It's really not complicated once you stop and just do it.
