Awesome. Wendy, my wife, and I just rearranged a similar "kick off" for our day. Boy, has it made a difference, just the first hour.

7:00 Wake everyone. Older boys meet in LR for Bible reading, older girls get ready for school/workout.

7:30 Everyone's up and in the living room by then. Read aloud.

8:00 Mom's off to the gym with a small handful of older kids, the rest do breakfast and get the house ready for the day.

9:00 On to school.

Working on the rest of the schedule. The morning is a great start...

Hello Lisa, Thanks for the post! I am always interested in seeing how large families accomplish their day.

Do you have your older children help the younger ones with their seatwork as well? I only have 3 (age 5, 8, 9) but find I need to spend a lot of one-on-one time with them at this point.
